Lucid Nightmares

It hath been seven days since I last awoke from this wretched dream, yet strange it seemeth, I find solace here. Better to be ensnared in this abyss than to return to the hell they dare call life. With each step I narrowly escape the shadows that hunt me, foul creatures whose eyes ever watch, even when unseen. And the clock… ever present, its muted ticking doth whisper the dread of waking. So long as I keep the bell of mine awakening at bay, I may linger here. But how long? What truly lieth in the depths of this dreamt world? And worse yet, why doth it beckon me, as if to lead me towards some fate from which there can be no turning away?
